I enjoyed reading the book Turbulence. I found it to be an inspiring. His book and life demonstrates an example of positive actions in the face of great opposition. The book was also an interesting insight into the politics of a broken nation. I pray and hope that his efforts and others can continue to work in manner that will someday bring stability to Afghanistan. - Paul Turbulence is an affecting novel that gives readers a first-hand account of the struggles Afghanistan faces in its journey to reconstruction. Dr. Atash's experiences paint a reality very few can understand. Readers will feel both thankful for his efforts in helping to rebuild his homeland, and saddened to see such a strong advocate being targeted for fighting against corruption. This is a must read for anyone interested in learning more about the struggles faced in the rebuilding process of a nation destroyed by decades of war. - Awista Ayub Author, Kabul Girls Soccer Club Turbulence is one of the most informative and interesting books I have read in quite some time. At the same time, it is also very disturbing. I had no idea of just how extensive Dr. Atash's role has been in trying to return some stability to the Afghan government. His integrity and enormous degree of bravery are so admirable. I cannot believe that his every effort to help bring legitimacy to the governing of the country, as well as his brilliant leadership of Ariana Airlines, were thwarted by so many whom he had considered to be friends and allies. His literally risking his life in an effort to do good for that nation is something that should be recognized and commended at the highest levels of our own government and, indeed, the entire world democratic community of nations. He should be publicly lauded for what he has done and is continuing to do for a nation besieged by war and corruption. He stayed on at his post as head of Ariana despite all the many threats against his life because he refused to give in to bribes and intimidation. It is amazing he escaped with his life. The world should be made aware of what a decent and honest man has to face when he tries to do what is right in the face of such overwhelming opposition by the corrupt government in power. - Tom If I say exactly with out exaggeration that Dr.Nadir Atash is one of the destiny men of Afghanistan. We hardly ever find like this personality in Afghanistan, especially for Nuristan. I am proud that Atash is Nuristani.
